Autumn Run League 2026 FAQ

Six scoring rounds, six different routes, your best five results counting — followed by the 10 km Queen Stage finale.

When does the league take place?

The Autumn Run League starts on Thursday 8 October 2026 and runs for six consecutive Thursdays. The same race is scheduled at two-hour intervals throughout the day, allowing you to choose a start time that suits you. Only one result per week counts.

What is the format?

There are six scoring rounds, each using a different Zwift route and distance. Points are awarded within your league group and your best five results from six count towards the final standings.

What are the routes?

Which group should I enter?

Choose your group based on your current 5K average pace, not the distance or expected pace of that week's race.

Group5K average pace
AFaster than 4:29/km
B4:29–5:00/km
C5:00–5:46/km
DSlower than 5:46/km

Please choose your group honestly.

How does the staggered start work?

The four groups start at one-minute intervals to give runners of different abilities a fair race:

  • Group D starts first
  • Group C starts +1 minute
  • Group B starts +2 minutes
  • Group A starts +3 minutes

ZwiftPower records elapsed time from the first start, so the Run in the Park results remove the appropriate stagger before ranking runners. Your official result is therefore based on your actual running time.

How do promotions work with different race distances?

Because the race distance changes each week, performances are converted to a 5K-equivalent result. This allows shorter and longer races to be compared fairly against the same ability standards.

If your performance meets the promotion criteria for a higher group, you may be promoted to that group for the remainder of the league. There are no automatic downgrades.

How are points awarded?

Points are awarded according to finishing position within your league group. The winner receives 100 points, second 98, third 96, then points reduce by finishing position. Your best five scores determine your final league total.

What if I miss a week?

No problem. Because only your best five out of six results count, you can miss one round without automatically affecting your final score.

Do I need heart rate?

Yes. Heart rate data is required for official league results.

What treadmill incline should I use?

We recommend setting treadmill incline to 0% for the most consistent comparison between runners. It is a recommendation rather than a requirement.

👑 WEEK 7 · THE QUEEN STAGE

What is the Queen Stage?

After the six scoring rounds have finished and the league standings are decided, the season concludes on Thursday 19 November 2026 with a separate 10 km mass-start race on Makuri Islands – Fine and Sandy.

All four groups start together. The Queen Stage awards no league points and has no effect on the final Autumn League standings, but overall and group honours are up for grabs.

Where are results published?

Official results and league standings are published at www.runinthepark.co.uk using ZwiftPower data.
